Family Connect: New Welcome Email for Parents

Trusted Adults using Family Connect will now receive a welcome email once they approve their child’s app or game for the first time. This serves as confirmation that the account has been set up successfully and helps guide them through next steps.

Bugs & Enhancements

• Login Rate Limiting: To safeguard against potential DoS attacks, we've added a new rate limit to Family Connect logins via magic link. Any user attempting to send more than three magic links per minute from the same IP address will now receive an error message.

• Session Consistency Fix: Resolved an issue where revoking an app or game permission or removing a child from Family Connect on web, while the same session was open on mobile, could result in a 404 error on mobile. Sessions now get redirected to the expected completion page.

• Child Account Limit: Trusted Adults will now see a clear error message if they try to create more than 10 child profiles: “Child Account Limit Reached: You have exceeded the number of accounts allowed for your 11th child. Please review your existing children and ensure there are no duplicates.”
